OUR TOP SKI DESTINATIONS FOR 2024

WHERE TO STAY

Located in the middle of town, Hotel Jerome opened in 1889 and its historic charm is evident in the eclectic yet elegant design. Even if you’re not staying here, you’ll want to come for the après-ski scene (don’t miss Bar Harriet, a speakeasy-style cocktail bar).

WHERE TO EAT

We recommend Ajax Tavern, Cache Cache, Betula, Casa Tua, Matsuhisa Aspen, French Alpine Bistro and Prospect at Hotel Jerome.

WHAT TO DO

Along with regular ski shuttles that will take you to and from the slopes, Hotel Jerome offers snowmobiling, horse-drawn carriage rides, dog sledding and guided forest walks. After a day on the slopes, the hotel’s heated pool, hot tub and spa are the perfect way to relax. Plus, you’re steps from shopping and restaurants.

WHERE TO STAY

Pendry Hotel is a newcomer to the Park City scene and we’re loving its modern sophistication and alpine charm. Located at the canyon's base, the hotel is ski-in/ski-out and even has an in-house equipment shop to rent your ski and snowboard gear without leaving the property.

WHERE TO EAT

Some of our favorites include Riverhorse on Main, High West Distillery & Saloon, Atticus Coffee Books & Teahouse, Chimayo Restaurant, Grappa, Handle, Firewood on Main, Purple Sage, and Blind Dog.

WHAT TO DO

With access to both Park City Mountain and Canyons resorts, you will have plenty of options to ski. Pro Tip: You can beat the line for the gondola by taking the Orange Bubble Express lift up first thing in the morning. After you’re done on the slopes, check out the après-ski and live music at Canyons Village. You can also try snowshoeing, horseback riding, snowmobiling or bobsledding with a professional pilot down the 2002 Olympic track going 65+ miles per hour.

WHERE TO STAY

The Blake has a collection of Southwestern chic rooms and suites conveniently located next to Lift 1. If you’re traveling with your family or a group, their penthouses have three- and four-bedroom suites that can fit the whole crew. The hotel has rotating art installations, a cozy restaurant and a wellness center with an Oxygen Bar to relieve elevation woes.

WHERE TO EAT

Try a meal at Aji, Taos Ale House or Taos Mesa Brewing Taos Tap Room, Toribios.

WHAT TO DO

This funky New Mexico town flies under the radar but the ski offerings here are top-notch. Off the slopes, explore the area’s cultural riches, including Native American adobe buildings, sacred rock formations and some great galleries and art studios. A visit to Taos can also be combined with a visit to Santa Fe, which is only a 90-minute drive away.

WHERE TO STAY

Set in South Lake Tahoe, Edgewood Tahoe Resort has breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe and the sweeping Sierra Nevada mountains. Along with guest rooms, the property also offers 2-, 3- and 5-bedroom villas that fit groups of up to 14. Pro Tip: If you visit Tahoe in the summer, Edgewood has an iconic golf course which opened in the late 1960s and hosts the American Century Championship.

WHERE TO EAT

We like The Old Post Office Café, Base Camp Pizza Co, Mac Duff’s Public House, Evans American Gourmet Café, Artemis Lakefront Café, and Samurai Restaurant.

WHAT TO DO

Edgewood offers easy access and frequent ski shuttles to Heavenly Ski Resort and boot fittings are available at the on-site ski shop. Non-skiers can opt for sleigh rides, ice skating and snowshoeing. When the day is done, cozy up near the Edgewood’s fire pit for nightly s'mores.

WHERE TO STAY

The Lodge at Spruce Peak is a luxurious mountain resort with classic New England charm. Nestled amidst the picturesque Green Mountains, skiers will appreciate that The Lodge is Stowe’s only ski-in, ski-out destination. When off the ski runs, enjoy the hotel’s amenities with a spa treatment or dinner at one of the restaurants on property.

WHERE TO EAT

We recommend Idletyme Brewing Company, The Skinny Pancake, Piecasso, Stowe Public House and Bottle Shop and The Whistlepig Pavilion.

WHAT TO DO

Stowe has two mountains for hitting the slopes, Spruce Peak and the larger Mount Mansfield. If you’re looking for another wintery activity, you can ice skate at Spruce Peak Village, take a sleigh ride at Trapp Family Lodge, go dogsledding or hike through the serene winter wilderness on snowshoes.
