The Chicest Boutique Hotels in Portugal

Casa Na Areia Hotel Portugal

From the charming streets of Lisbon to the sun-kissed shores of the Algarve, Portugal has had an abundance of architecturally gorgeous boutique hotels pop up around the country.

Lisbon-based Tastemaker Teresa Comi owns and operates Caeli Deco, a slow-living brand that creates homewares, art and wellness products with a focus on sustainability. Caeli Deco partners with hoteliers across Portugal that are aligned in terms of aesthetic, quality and service and it have given her the opportunity to get to know some of Portgual’s most luxurious boutique hotels along the way.

Lucky for us, she has put together a tailored (and extremely fabulous) list of her favorite boutique hotels across Portugal.

Village by Boa | PORTO

Village by Boa is a spectacular option for your stay in Porto. Spread over 5 buildings in Porto’s historic center, Village by Boa was formerly the home of Bairro do Silva, working class residents who were grouped in tightly constructed village homes known as “islands”.

The Pablo Pita architecture firm took two years to renovate the property but maintained strict preservation techniques, including preserving the original wood and form of the buildings. Modern touches like Portuguese-designed furniture, keyless entry, working spaces and fully-equipped kitchens make this the perfect marriage between the old and the new in Porto.
